Karnal Medical Centre (KMC) a twenty-five bed hospital in Sector 7, Karnal, Haryana, is a dedicated Paediatric and Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) centre with specialist facilities including an Operation Theatre (OT) and Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). With development control norms that allow for mixed use, a three-bedroom residential unit is planned on the second floor for use by the Founding Doctors, a husband - wife team.

The Masterplan is guided by the overarching aim to create a delightful landscape setting that reflects Kumaon’s very own and to minimise building activity and its negative impact. Informed primarily by three interdependent strategies - Landscape Character and Ecology, Water and Waste Management and Access. HTAU
prepared an overall masterplan, designed 14 independent timber cottages and prepared a strategy to renovate an existing two storey building.
