ABOUT US
Set up in 2010, Habitat Tectonics - Architecture & Urbanism (HTAU) is an architecture, urban design and planning studio based out of Gurgaon that believes in the ability of design to transform and inspire. We focus on creating environmentally responsive architecture and sustainable strategies for urban transformation with effective enabling and implementation frameworks.
At HTAU we believe in the concept of genus loci and extend this to our systems-based approach to design and planning. From the lay of the land, landscape setting and physical location of a site down to materials, crafts and building technologies, our strategies and designs imbibe the nuances that determine the spirit of a place. We believe that this approach manifests itself in the creation of buildings and places that are not only true to themselves and their larger context, but inherently sustainable. We value interdependencies in the process of policy formulation, planning, design, and implementation to enable effective delivery of sustainable projects across scales.
