Designed for a Singapore based company, Climb Central-Delhi (CCD) is one of India’s first indoor rock climbing facility built to International standards with 48 climbing lanes, 12m high external lead climbing wall and a 1500 sq.ft suspended internal ropeway and zipline for children.
Located on MG Road close to a metro station, the facility can be accessed easily from both South Delhi and Gurgaon.
CCD is part of campus, spread over an acre of land, which includes Studio Ekko - a 2550 sq.ft multi event space and Global Diner - a mulit cuisine casaul diner, with plenty of landscaped green space to hold events in the open.
The building is broadly divided into three sections - the climibing walls are located in a 12m clear height space towards the rear of the building. The front part has a 5m high mezzanine floor where the rope way and zipline are suspended from the top of the structure, the free space below this is used for aerobic and fitness classes . The ground floor of the front section has the reception area and childrens' wall climbing facility.
The building has a Pre-Engineered steel frame structure, with puff panel walls and roof. The front part of the building has a traditional load bearing RC roof over metal decking.
Similar to other buildings done by HTAU, material palette for the building is minimal with exposed puff panels as wall and roof material and polished Trimex concrete as finished floor.
As the building fronts the south side, solar panels have been installed on the south roof which provide for up to 25% of Climb Central's electrical consumption.
