Karnal Medical Centre (KMC) a twenty-five bed hospital in Sector 7, Karnal, Haryana, is a dedicated Paediatric and Ear-Nose-Throat (ENT) centre with specialist facilities including an Operation Theatre (OT) and Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). With development control norms that allow for mixed use, a three-bedroom residential unit is planned on the second floor for use by the Founding Doctors, a husband - wife team.
DELIVERING LOW CARBON MOBILITY IN INDIAN TOWNS & CITIES
The Centre of Science and Environment (CSE) has been working with multiple cities, across agencies to transition to low carbon mobility. To aid their inititives, HTAU prepared a detailed guidance framework for the primary tenets of low carbon mobility including integrating land use and transport, enabling a connected street network, integrating multiple transport modes, prioritising non motorised transit, strengthening intermediate public transport, reinforcing the bus and managing parking. To reduce the risk of failure and barriers to the development of low carbon transport in Indian cities, HTAU set out principles and priorities, norms, standards guidelines and where applicable, key steps to be followed. The document also includes as annexures Standard Templates for Scopes of Work, Design and Audit checklists etc. to aid the initiation of projects.
